Howdy y’all! Here I am, back from another amazing trip to the Country 2 Country music festival at the O2 arena, London.
I am a huge country music fan and last year I dragged my husband, Mr Big, along with me to the very first festival. He is far more Guns ‘n’ Roses than Rascal Flatts and he wasn’t sure what to expect BUT he absolutely loved it and needed no persuasion to come this time!
During the day the O2 is turned into a mini town with stalls selling everything from leather goods to jewellery, denim to diamantes and some combining all of those!

Around the stalls and in between the restaurants and bars are pop-up stages presenting the cream of country talent from the UK and further afield. The fantastic Raintown were there…
plus US duo, Striking Matches, who have had a number of their songs featured in the TV show, Nashville.
Check out this video of their latest single ‘Trouble Is As Trouble Does’.
Day one in the main arena featured performances from Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, The Dixie Chicks and The Zac Brown Band. It was so wonderful to see a sold-out crowd, proving that country music has found its new home in the UK. YAY!
Day two and I had my red carpet Country Music Awards style photo shoot.
And was treated to more spectacular music on the pop-up stages. Here are Ward Thomas and Curran.
I was in my flip-flops by this stage because all the walking and dancing and generally hoedown merrymaking plays havoc with your feet. And of course it’s easier not to have anything with a heel when you’re drinking all those beers!
The entertainment in the main arena on day two was provided by the gorgeous Chris Young, The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts and the fantastic Brad Paisley. All country music greats in my opinion.
All in all it was another EXCELLENT weekend and if you need any more tempting into going in 2015 here is a little video of the Country 2 Country highlights.
